So, if you are a reader of this blog you know that the moon is a feminie entity. The moon is the yin to the yang of the sun, the shadow to the light. The moon is all things cool and dark and knowing. The moon is the cosmic representation of our goddess energy. A Blue Moon happens when there are 13 Full Moons in a calender year. Sometimes that means there are two full moons in one month, like July 2015. In the zodiac, we have been under the sign of Cancer, an emotional and highly connected sign. The two full moons with a new moon mid-month added extreme highs and lows to already intense emotional waves. This final Full Moon falls on a Friday, the corresponding day of Venus, and at a time when Venus (the planet) moves into retrograde. Translation, THE TIDE IS HIGH, AND IT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE IN A BLUE MOON!
Whether it is love of another, self love and healing, moving forward to a new phase of growth in your life, there is literally no time like the present. Anything you desire with love, you can manifest. Visualize that right now, your glass of water (or wine, champagne, craft-brewed beer) is pouring over! There is so much abundance around you that you can’t even keep up! Allow yourself to smile and let it flow freely rather than attempting to contain it. The more it over flows, the richer you become. Smile. Remaining in this meditation for several minutes, continue to see the cup you hold as an overflowing well, the more that spills out, the more bubbles up to the top. This represents your offering.
What you will need:
pink or red candles (3 or 12)
white candle ( 1 )
A statue of or photo of the Goddess Venus
Incense (rose, sandalwood)
Fresh red and/or pink rose petals
An apple (optional)
Rose Quartz (optional)
The Blue Moon is marked as the 3th moon in a year, or as the 3rd Full Moon in a 4 moon season. Therefore, you can choose to use 12 pink candles with the white candle representing the “blue moon”, or you may choose to use three pink candles with one white candle representing the blue moon in a 4 moon season. Either way, the ritual is the same. I prefer the 12 plus one, only because the number 13 happens to be extremely sacred in alchemical and hermetic principals. I digress; On a table, the floor or your sacred space, collect the ritual supplies, have all of them next to you so you do not have to break the sacred circle once it it cast.
1. Cast a sacred circle with the salt, beginning at the compass point of the East.
2. Once the circle is cast, place the candles in a circle. Facing the East, place the statue or photo of Venus to your left, the incense (light it) to the right, the apple and crystal above the candle circle, then sprinkle the rose petals around the perameter of the candle circle.
3. Sit facing the East and speak the following enchantment several times. As you speak them, continue with the meditation from above, but make it specific. What is it that your heart really desires? Imagine it flowing into you so freely that it overflows. As it overflows, see the manifestation of this desire pushing out all other things so you are full of nothing but your most heart-felt desires and dreams. (it helps to memorize). You are releasing and drawing in at the same time. It’s powerful.
All that I need, all I desire, magnetize it to me like a moth to the fire.
The more I receive, the more I will give, So it will be. And so it is.
4. Extinguish your candles, and release the circle collect the rose petals, the crystal, apple and statue/photo and place all of them outside under the moonlight (or leave them if your ritual was outdoors). choose a spot in your garden or in a large burrying pot, and burry the pink candles. Keep your white candle and burn it daily until the New Moon in two weeks as a reminder of the magick you set in motion on this Blue Moon.
Happy Enchanting! )0(
